In 2003 I started my career I.T. as a software programmer in training. I soon discovered that this was not what I wanted to do for the remainder of my life, in fact I was very intrigued in the way computer networks operated and so started learning about them after work.

This is not a good idea if you are married and suppose to be spending evenings with you family. My wife soon realised my passion and gave me the time needed to do some serious studying and practical. I switched from being a software programmer in training to a system administrator. For the next 3 years I managed the internal network of the company I was working at and the networks of their clients. I was also very fortunate working with the business owner as he saw my keen interest in networking therefore provided me with extra training times during work hours.

I was now very keen to go out on my own and start my new computer networking business. Again things worked in my favour and I was able to gradually move out of my then current position to owner/director of ELSCOMM.

For the next 4 years ELSCOMM provided consulting and support services to businesses in Sydney. While we were going along OK, there was a fundamental problem with the way that we operated (and just like most other network consultants do) which I can summarise in 1 word Reactive! Yes that’s right, we were being reactive. Waiting for problems to happen. As a matter of fact, I hate to admit this, we were hoping for computer problems to happen so we could go out and fix them. Our clients wanted no computer problems and we were waiting for problems to happen. Talk about non-alignment of intention! We were totally against the goals of our clients.

So the search started, find a way that we can be in complete alignment with our clients. After a year of searching, testing and evaluating system software, business processes and the likes we finally developed an IT business model that aligns with our client’s goals and strategies.

In the last year we have moved over many of our existing and new clients to this highly successful way of operating. Our clients are much more satisfied with service delivery. We now prevent problems from happening. We are now working with them not against them. We monitor and ensure their networks run smoothly so they can focus on their core business.

Since changing our business model I could not be more happy and satisfied with the level of care and service ELSCOMM delivers to its clients. We can now work with you side-by-side in helping you achieve your business goals.
